On Sunday, we spent a classic Father's Day at Safeco Field taking in a Seattle Mariners Baseball game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. (Happy Fathers Day to Keith!) We went with Greg & Terri and Gerry and had a great time! A couple of years ago when my sister LeeAnne was out visiting us, we had spent a weekend in Seattle and taken a very cool guided tour of Safeco Field. It was nice to be able to go back and this time attend an actual game.
I'll be the first to admit that watching baseball on TV seems like pure torture to me. B-O-R-I-N-G. (Sorry to all you baseball fans who enjoy watching it televised.) But spending an afternoon at the ballpark is a totally different experience. Max got right into the spirit of things and we all cheered our little hearts out! It was a very exciting game - tied right down the the bottom of the 9th inning and miraculously the Mariners won the game. A great ending to a great weekend all around.
We drove back to North Vancouver after the game and checked into a hotel. Keith worked on Monday at the job site and then we headed back to Kelowna in the afternoon. We made it back just in time for Max to attend a swimming party and bbq at his soccer coach's house.
Last photo is of Keith reading his Fathers Day card from Max. It was a little book we made for him and pasted photo's of the two of them taken through out the year. We ran out of staples to bind it together so it had to be looked at quite carefully. Max told Keith that he will have to "stabilize" it when he gets home! :-)
