This past Friday we went to Sarsons Beach before school - for a playdate and picnic lunch with our friends Christine, Jenna and Ava. The kiddos were all so excited! Their excitement travelled to and from the beach with us. I'm sure all the neighbours for blocks around were wondering what was going on. The beaches in Kelowna require a bit of adjustment for Max. He's so used to lifting rocks and finding crabs and sea stars and other ocean creatures. None to be found here. But they did manage to discover a big old dead fish floating close to shore (much to our horror!) and that entertained them for a while until we figured out what was holding their attention and exactly what they were trying to rescue. Had to put a stop to that pronto!
We're looking forward to many more beach playdates this summer. Hopefully the water heats up soon and they can all swim and splash the days away!
