This weekend, the boys were all about eating their catch of the day. I caught them *almost* fighting over it. Almost. But it was all resolved in short order. The main problem was a tiny individual who thought he *couldn't wait* for the bigger individual to inspect and make sure there were no bones in the meat. Very important to have that inspection done. By the way - have you noticed that there is no mention of the lone female in the family partaking of this meal? That would be because she strongly dislikes fish. STRONGLY. Doesn't tempt her at all.
And what's camping without a campfire in the evening and the roasting of marshmallows? Has to be done! Our persnickety little son informed us he "didn't like those dirty ones" (meaning "roasted") and he only wanted to "eat the clean ones" (straight out of the bag). We found this out AFTER he attempted to eat a roasted marshmallow and didn't like it at all. (see last photo in this entry) What a waste of an expertly roasted marshmallow!
