A hint of spring

Today we finally got our first little taste of spring. A teaser I'm sure. But still. It was a balmy 2 degrees this afternoon. The sky was blue, the sun was shining and if you were still and quiet you could hear the sound of water dripping from the eaves troughs. The snow got a bit soft and Max was in heaven. He loves to collect "ice blocks" and put them on the front porch. Not sure exactly what their purpose is. But if you come to our house, various ice and snow balls/chunks/blocks will be sitting on the front step to greet you!

After such a nice day today, I'm scared to watch the weather channel tonight. Sometimes it's a good thing to not know what the weather forecast is!

How cute the maxter is!! 2 degrees definitely sounds balmy and almost sun-tanningish weather compared to temps here!

You are lucky that Spring comes so much earlier out there then in Ontario! It looks like you have lots of snow, is that typical for the area you live now? It won't stop snowing here, I counted we had 2 sunny (and VERY cold) days here in January. The people that have grown up here say that's why they call it Grey County!!! Anita N.
