We spent about 3 days in North Vancouver before flying to Ontario. Keith worked at the jobsite. Max and I met up with dear friends and visited our favourite old haunts. It was hot. When I was driving around, my vehicle was registering temperatures of 38 degrees PLUS humidity. Insanity. Especially for Vancouver. Everything we did over these three days involved as much water as possible.
Splashtime and a picnic with Jack and his siblings at Eldon Park:

A fun evening spent with my sweet friend Juli - dinner, bit of shopping, Park & Tilford Gardens and lots of gabbing too!

The Capilano Suspension Bridge for one last hurrah... Because we lived so close to this beautiful attraction in North Van, we would receive free annual membership passes every year in the mail. Our membership ran out at the beginning of August so we made sure to enjoy one last trip there. We went first thing in the morning to avoid the tourist swarms. Which was a good trick. As we were leaving...the buses were rolling in!

Our shadows as we were starting out across the suspension bridge:

There goes Max...no fear!

One of our favourite things to do is the treetop suspension bridges. They aren't so rickety as the big bridge over the river. And you're way up in the forest tree tops...pretty magical!

And the hands down favourite thing to do...play checkers. (Yes Grace, this is still a huge fascination for the Maxter. I think it all began when you were out visiting and challeneged him to a game when he was the ripe old age of 2 or 3!)

Enjoyed some coffee shop bevies at our favourite Starbucks in Edgemont Village. Best Starbucks around. More like a little neighbourhood coffee shop where you run into everyone you know. Plus they have toys for kids. Great for moms to chat and kids to be entertained.

The checkers bring back good memories but can't say the same about the bridge ..... Max is brave (compared to me).
