Do you have craft central station in your house like I do? It just so happens to be an old chippy cupboard. And stored in whatever room happens to work with the cupboard. In our house now, it's in the dining room. Our last house in Kelowna had the craft cupboard in our front foyer. Whatever works, right? The key thing is that it's on the main floor and easily accessible. Or else we might as well not bother having the stuff. The cupboard itself is just a continually evolving state of disaster. Which is good because that means it's being used. Pretty much every day. All Max's craft supplies, colour books, a few favourite puzzles and games - it's all there.

And here is the little craft monster himself. Last Friday was a PA day and he started off his morning first thing by making cards to send to his little BC friends.

Here he's busily gluing googly eyes to sports themed foam cutouts...just screams 6 year old boy doesn't it?

After quite a long hiatus, colouring seems to be back on the popular list of things to do. The difference now is that he uses pencil crayons. Not crayons. Pencil crayons have him colouring up a storm.

Fish lips also seem to be a popular thing for him to be doing lately....

Ohhhh...even has time for a quick smile...

Notice the theme...racing cars. That's the other thing....if colouring is to be done, it has to be "exciting" pictures of things that he's into. Racing cars are preferred. He mentioned he would really like a space and astronaut colouring book. Have never seen anything like that. Have you? Let me know if there is such a thing...guess I can always google too and see what I find.

We're all about the pencil crayons right now too and oh do I have a craft the Maxter would love... tell him to watch the mail in the next few weeks!
You could check www.thespaceshop.com it's the online store for the Kenedy Space Center. I'm afraid they only have Backyardigans in coloring version, but they have a really cool selection of other things.
