Last Wednesday, we celebrated my dad's 61st birthday. My mom served lasagna and salad, cake & icecream at 7:00pm for everyone who could make it. And that was almost everyone except for Jon & Sheila who live a distance away and Keith who was gone on business. Grandpa was showered with presents...
including the "presence" of all his girlies! :-)
Heather and I designed quite the funny birthday card for dad using a photo of Vanessa. She knew nothing about it. Dad got the biggest bang out of it. See her dashing in on the right hand side. She had no idea what was so funny and that it was all about her....
Mom's standby birthday cake that everyone requests: Black Forest chocolate cake with icing, cherries and lots of whipped cream! Mmmmmmmm!
I couldn't stay too late...had to get a little boy home to bed for school the next day. It was fun to celebrate my papa's birthday. :-) Definitely a nice little reprieve in the midst of this loooooooo-nnnnnnnn-gggggggg winter we're having.
