This is the last post. Promise.
Keith went on a fishing charter one day. Shocking, I know. ;-) He caught himself two yellow fin tunas. He brought a little bit of the meat back with him. (The rest the captain kept.) And yes, Max and him ate it. Raw. It's what they use in sushi, right? Oh my. No, I did not partake. And if you think makes you squeamish, you must ask my son what he ate at the luau. Raw Octopus. Oh yes he did. They both did. And liked LOVED it.

There are some really smart sharks and manta rays down at the Lahaina harbor. They know the approximate time the fishing charters get in and they arrive just in time to eat the spoils that get thrown in. Keith took Max down a couple of times, to watch the sharks...

The beach, the beach, the glorious beach. Lots of time was spent here. I did not take a lot of pictures though. You see, I'm very paranoid of the salt water and sand around my camera. With good reason. I have learned the hard way. And wrecked one camera on vacation (possibly two) with a grain or two of sand getting in the lens...that's all it takes. And so I was in no mood to continue that trend. The sand on our beach was fairly "loose" and had a tendancy to blow around when the trade winds swooped in. Not worth the risk.

Between the three of us, we spent lots of time....walking the beach, building sand castles, boogie-boarding, snorkling, reading, relaxing and collecting coral. Every single day!

We made sure to build our sand castles within reach of the tide. People walking by would be saying "awwww" when they saw the waves sweep away our hard work. We didn't care. We loved to watch the tide creep closer and closer... Max liked to try catching the wave (with his boogie board) that would demolish his castle. He came close a couple times to almost riding right over his castle.

You know you're really relaxed on vacation when you can't remember what day it is. And it happens to you every day. Thank goodness for the elevator carpets! They even had suggestions for things to do each day. We weren't quite that relaxed that we couldn't come up with ideas on our own. :-)

Are you a Kane or a Wahine? Max knows.

We laughed when we drove by this store....check out the orange name...

Eventually, all good things must come to an end. Packing up the luggage in our car...

And then one last rip out to the beach....

Until next time...
