Some fresh, soft, sweet, cuddly, new, baby chicks arrived at my parents farm last week...

This butterball stage lasts all of about 3.789036 seconds (or days) and then the cuteness factor wears off, feathers start appearing and they get rather ugly really fast. So the fact that we were actually around to see them like this was very exciting for the Maxter. Immediately after school last Tuesday, we were off in a flash in the trailblazer heading out to the farm.

Aunt Vanessa brought about a dozen of them outside for her and Max to love on...

Doesn't it almost make you want to run out and buy a few of your own? Now if only they would stay that size and shape..
