Briefly pausing to catch my breath...

This is such a busy busy busy time of year. Two more days of school left.
Can I get a wooo-hooo?

Wooooooo-Hooooooo!!!

I don't know who is more excited about that..Max or me? It's probably a tie.

We have had a seriously busy week. Last Saturday Max had a baseball tournament all day. We arrived at the baseball diamonds at 9:30am and left at 6:30pm. Just as the first big droplets of rain started to fall. Somehow the rain held off all day long until the last game was played.

According to the Maxter, the best part of the tournament (ask any kid this and the answer will probably be the same)...is getting his medal.

The three of us went home, hot, tired and hungry. But not too tired that we couldn't do a little grilling. Keith bbq'd steak and sausage while I made some mashed potatoes and a salad. Hit the spot!

Sunday....Father's Day. We went to my parents place for lunch and hung out for part of the afternoon. It was all rather nice and relaxing. Snapped some pics of my dad with his girlies since that's who was around.

And then one of my parents together...

The old apple tree was loaded with little green apples. And of course...with boys around, it's a no-brainer. A little apple-whipping war broke out...

Which lead to tussling and wrestling....perfect fun on Fathers Day!

Sunday evening we had a rather belated shower for Jesse & Emmalene at my parents place. It was for all the cousins, aunts and uncles on my mom's side. In the whole busy rush of our move last summer, we didn't get around to planning a shower for them. So we decided to fix that with a bonfire & games night. There was a bonfire if you wanted to roast weiners and marshmallows....badminton, horseshoes, bocce ball or you could just sit around, gab and eat yummy food. The weather was awesome and the surroundings peaceful. I think everyone had a great time. Hope so anyway cause we sure did! :-)
