Happy Birthday Keith!

Today is the specialist day of the most wonderfulest man who's living on the face of the earth! :0) Happy Birthday Keith! He's hard at work today solving the worlds waste and water treatment woes, but tonight Max and I will meet him in town and enjoy a nice dinner celebration together. In honor of this occasion, I've included some photos of the birthday boy that were taken this past summer.

He's a dedicated and hard worker. See this photo? It was taken at Sarsons Beach in Kelowna. This was loading day. We had to be out of our house by 8:30am when the moving truck showed up and the movers loaded everything into it. What do you do and where do you go at 8:30am? The beach. It was already hot hot hot at that time of day. And there is Keith...working. Yes. Working. I kept an eye on Max playing in the water and at the playground while he sat at his desk with a view, and diligently worked. That is, until we were approached and witnessed to by JW's. Seriously. At the beach. That's a whole 'nother story.

Max and I love this guy VERY MUCH! He's larger than life to us...except when he's standing next to the world's biggest truck. But that's about the only time. :-)

My fabulous helper. He's always there to lend a helping hand no matter what has to be done. Gotta say that doing laundry at the laundramat when we're camping is much more fun then at home!

Participating in the axe-throwing demonstration at Fort William in Thunder Bay. See, now I was way too shy about doing this. What if I'm reallllllly bad and everyone is watching me?! But Keith? First in line...sign him up!

He's Mr. Fixit and can fix just about anything when there is a problem. Like a flat tire on our tent trailer when we are ready to leave Brooks, Alberta one weekday morning. We had to do some improvising...See that picnic table in the bottom right hand corner? At one point, it was wedged underneath the tent trailer to lift it off the ground. Don't even ask! The bottom line is, it worked and it was all thanks to Keith.

He loves his little boy and has tons of patience. Here he's teaching Max to skip rocks at Waterton National Park in Alberta.

He loves to learn. He has taught me to appreciate museums and exhibits that I would formerly have had no interest in. This was at the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller, AB. We spent a good portion of a day learning about dinosaurs. It was amazing and fascinating!

Mr. Goofy-clown-around-dad. Max found an interesting piece of wood on the beach in Tofino. Immediately it became a gun...and then a air guitar.... and on and on and on. Did you know that that piece of wood somehow made it all the way to Ontario? It's in our garage. The boys deemed it a necessary item that had to be packed and transported across the country. Two peas in a pod they are.

He's my best friend and the best husband I can ever dream, wish, hope and pray for. The best!
