Tofino Part 2

Aunt LeeAnne and Max were pretty much inseperable on our Tofino vacation. Two bugs in a rug, they were! From playing horseshoes & croquet on the beach, to picking salmonberries, to playing pirates and tether ball at the playground, Blues Clues Memory on the picnic table, roasting marshmallows, riding bikes....you name it - they were doing it.

We spent most of our time on the beaches - we went to three different ones. Probably spent most of our time at the beach where our campground was located. One day we hiked through a rainforest and ended up at a great beach where the water was actually warm! It was also a great beach for writing in the sand so we had fun coming up with quite the sayings and slogans and then posing for pictures with them. Another evening on our way to Long beach to watch the surfers, we actually saw a bear beside the road. We stopped and watched him for a while. On our way home from Tofino, we saw another mama bear and her two cubs beside the road. So awesome to see! :-) (Glad we didn't fork over money to go on any "bear watching" excursions...we saw plenty on our own this time!)
