The last couple of days of our vacation we spent in Yakima, Washington. For any of you familiar with "The Farming Game", this is the area that the game is based on. Toppenish...Rattlesnake Ridge...ring any bells?!
We did a little bit of everything while we were there - some shopping, went to a little amusement park place where they had mini golfing, go-carts and bumper boats, biking, relaxing (reading for the adults, colouring for the little boy) and the one night we checked out the action at Yakima Speedway. Definitely let our redneck tendencies surface there!! My boys were having a blast watching all the races. I confess, I had more fun "people watching". It was worth the price of admission alone just for that aspect!
Max was an excellent little traveller. We put in quite a few miles some days. It helped that we took Keith's truck this time. Can you say "DVD player" anyone? Oh yeah! Nothing like watching his favourite movies - "Cars" and "Facing the Giants", to help pass the hours!
