Snowmen building (finally) happened. Extended family fun times complete with games occured. Yummy popcorn and homemade pizza was consumed. Hot tubbing was enjoyed. Lots and lots of movies were watched. Lunch at Harvey's and minigolf made the Maxter's day. Overall, plenty of rest and relaxation was had. And most importantly, we're thankful that our little boy found his way back to being his energetic, happy, little self.
A peek of the weekend in photos:
An 8:00am Monday morning wakeup call by the Maxter. He surprised Keith and I by serving us breakfast in bed:
He didn't know where the serving tray was stored, so he improvised and used a big tupperware lid. Notice the big (serving) spoons we got to use?!
Discovering that rolling up the rim is back again:
and true to our style, Keith won. I did not.
Snowy outdoor fun:
He was named "Harry". He brings a smile to my face whenever I glance out my kitchen window.
We made one more snowman for the front of the house.
His name is "Henry".
Special times with Grandpa & Grandma:
They always spoil us with so much delicious good food. Waddle waddle, out the door we go!
A highly anticipated lunch date at Harvey's:
The entire time that Max was sick with the flu, he was craving Harvey's. He even dreamed about it at night. Specifically a "hotdog combo with greasy sugary fries". Doesn't that sound delish? ha! He enjoyed every bite.
Indoor Mini-golf at Max's:
And true to our family's history with this game, Keith won, Max came in second and I came in dead last.
A quick popping in at Grandma's:
Rumour had it, Grandma was making fresh donuts on Monday. Alas, it was only just that. A rumour. But, no sunny day visit is complete without a climb in the trees. A good substitute for donuts I think.
I have a thing for shadow pictures. Especially in February when grass is peeking through the snow. It spells HOPE to me! (as in hopefully spring will be here soon!)
Pretty sure that this was my most favourite Family Day weekend yet!

Full Circle Blessings
If you affirm goodness, goodness will be there;
if you affirm love, love will be there;
if you affirm thankfulness, blessings will come.
A good place to begin is by giving praise
and thanks to Almighty God.
