The summer is just breezing along. I've been taking lots of pictures. Just don't have time to edit and post them. A quick recap...
LeeAnne, Vanessa, Max and myself spent a lovely Sunday afternoon at the beach (The Pinery). Heather was in Thunder Bay and Keith was quadding with his buddy Tim that day.

Vanessa and Max finished up a two week VBS in Millbank. They both loved it. Max especially loved recess and playing "prisoners base" with the big kids. Remember that game? Now there's a trip down memory lane! (Along with "kick the can" and "five hundred" and "scrub"...any of those familiar to you?)
The theme was "Medievel Times" this year. Max was a "blacksmith" (grades 1 & 2) and Vanessa was a "tinsmith" (grades 9 & 10). Part of their "offering" this year was to bring in non-perishable foods to be donated to the food bank. Using all the items they built a huge castle. Neat idea. Max's teacher arranged for all 22 of her little blacksmiths to take a fieldtrip and visit an actual operational blacksmith shop which is located just down the street from the church. Very cool!

The VBS program was last Friday evening. Somehow the Maxter got to carry in the banner for his class. (Aren't the little "bakers" cute in the photo below? That was the kindergarten class. I'm trying to remember the other classes....One class was the candlestick makers. Another was the jesters. You should be able to pick out the jesters below!)

Soccer and baseball season is wrapping up. We have thoroughly enjoyed both sports and our evenings spent at the ball diamond and soccer fields. We are wondering what we're going to entertain ourselves with at night now that we're at the end? Tonight was Max's last baseball game. He has his baseball tournament and his soccer tournament both this Saturday. A super busy day. That's it for baseball then. Soccer wraps up next week. I managed to capture him scoring a goal last week. He is one hot and sweaty little boy when the game is over with.

LeeAnne, Max and I did a bit of raspberry picking. (Thanks to LeeAnne's friend Ang.)
YUMM!! This little bird below couldn't keep them out of his mouth!

That's all for now.
Ta ta.
